It’s hard to believe that it’s already that time of year again, but don’t forget to make plans to watch the arrival of the Hashknife Pony Express delivering the mail from Holbrook, Payson, and Fountain Hills to Scottsdale Friday at noon. I assume they’ll follow the route of last year’s final segment, north on Drinkwater, east on Camelback, and south on Marshall way to end at the statue south of Olive and Ivy.

Parking will be at a premium, so get there early. You can park in the Nordstrom’s garage, the underground parking below the Waterfront, or you can park along 5th Avenue and walk across the Marshall Way bridge.
