A ScottsdaleTrails reader sent me this link this morning, right about the time I was discussing the economic impact of the Super Bowl with my barber. He (barber) was not familiar with the economics term, “cost/benefit ratio,” let alone the $1.1 million in Super Bowl-related, taxpayer-funded subsidies handed out byMayor Jim Lane and the Scottsdale City Council. And he (barber) had not given any thought to the enormous sums that Scottsdale shelled out for incremental public safety costs, primarily for the Bar District.
Cost aside, is this the reputation we want for Scottsdale?
