Scottsdale Civil War Roundtable: The Spymistress

Pat Toftoy, of the Scottsdale Civic Center Library has arranged a special program for the Roundtable.

This Sunday, October 6 at 2:00 PM in the auditorium, Jennifer Chiavernini, a New York Times best selling author, will be talking about her  new Civil War book entitled, The Spymistress. This book is inspired by the life of Elizabeth Van Lew who operated a Union spy network in Richmond. She would raise the US flag over Richmond after it fell in 1865, and was later named Postmaster of the city.

This would be especially interesting for the wives who have a Civil war interest or supporting role and may not be interested in the gory details of battle.

Jennifer will also be autographing her new book.

Hope to see you there!
