Detour Company Theatre is presenting a stage production of The Little Mermaid this weekend, Friday and Saturday at 7, Saturday and Sunday at 3. Admission is free courtesy of sponsor Wells Fargo.

In case you don’t know, Detour is a theater company especially for children and adults with challenges. Keri, Meg, and I attended their full-length production of South Pacific last year and we were amazed. Peaceful Valley neighbor Kelly Janssen was in South Pacific and is in The Little Mermaid this year.
Even though the show is free, Detour puts a lot of time and effort into tailoring the shows so that everyone gets a part, and that the lines and sets are customized to the abilities of the actors. They can always use support from volunteers and/or donors.
