Scottsdale faces questions over PGA contract

Scottsdale is facing criticism over a deal that shifts responsibility for millions of dollars of renovations at TPC Scottsdale, home of the annual Phoenix Open, from the PGA Tour to the city itself.
AZCentral reports the deal, which was approved in December, calls for $15 million in renovations beginning next year, funds critics call an illegal subsidy by the city. However, per the new lease arrangement, the PGA Tour will increase its fees paid to the city by $5 million over 20 years. Read more at the link below.
