Ink4Kidz

Our friend Elaine Rosenthal recently told me about a charity effort on which her 14-year-old son Matt is working: Collecting spent inkjet printer cartridges to trade them in for credit at office supply stores for school supplies to benefit classrooms that aren’t very well supplied.

Matt writes:

A few of my friends and I started a non- profit organization called Ink4kidz. We recycle empty ink cartridges from businesses and turn them into office superstores for store credit. With this credit, we buy kindles, headphones, and other school supplies for underprivileged schools. So far we have donated over 20 kindles, 10 boxes of books, and over 20 pairs of headphones. We hope that you can help us print a better tomorrow!
