One of my Old Town Scottsdale favorite little places is Karsen’s Grill, on the north side of 1st Street, catercorner from the Old Mission Church. No big splashy sign will direct you to valet parking at Karsen’s. It’s a tiny place with friendly owners and staff. Think Cheers, but more cozy.
The menu is more than just basic bar food. You can get burgers and fries, of course, but they also have healthy, hearty salads. Sandwiches include the French Dip and fried bologna. When did you last have one of those?
Daily dinner specials are topped off with delicious desserts from Tracy Dempsey.

Karsen’s is very convenient for post-City-Council-meeting commiserating, feeding and imbibing your out-of-town guests while taking a break from shopping, or relaxing over burger and brew after a spring training baseball game. Great food, served quickly, with a smile. Tell John and Ray I sent you!

Karsen’s grill sounds like a nice place to eat. I will definitely check it out next time I’m in Old Town and hungry for a bite to eat.
