By best-selling author Malcolm Gladwell’s definition, John Washington is a connector.
He is always on the lookout for how he can help the folks in his circle, and for how those folks can benefit each other. Amazingly, this is neither a conscious nor strategic effort on John’s part – he’s just wired to be helpful. At the close of more than one phone call I’ve had with John, he asks, “Anything I can do for you?”
Chances are, many of his readers have personally benefited from John’s unsolicited sharing of his knowledge and network. I know I have.
So let’s pretend for a moment that the roles were reversed and you were to ask John, “Anything I can do for you?”
Of course, he’d most likely reply, “No thanks. I’m good!”
So I’ll answer for him.
Yes, there is something you can do for John. Right now. It’ll just take a second.
