Way back when I used to do more flying (well, “more” might imply I’m actually doing “some” flying now, sadly not the case), one of the many splendid and unique Arizona sights I enjoyed was the rare glimpse of wild horses on the Salt River Pima Maricopa Indian Community east of Scottsdale, and on the Gila Bend Indian Reservation of the Tohono O’odham Nation. I also saw the SRPMIC herd several times while mountain biking along the Arizona Canal which cuts through the SRPMIC.
I’m having a hard time understanding the efforts of Tonto National Forest (which borders SRPMIC) officials to eradicate these beautiful animals. Read more:
