How does Redistricting Affect Scottsdale?

The Arizona Independent Redistricting Commission is performing its once-a-decade duty by redrawing legislative district boundaries. Frankly, I’ve been curious but a little too busy lately to follow the process. If you read Saturday’s AZ Republic, you know what I mean.

However, Councilman Bob Littlefield chose this topic for the first of our city council-produced CityCable Channel 11 shows. You may recall that this is a new program format introduced by staff when the City Council euthanized the late Channel 11 Programming Commission.

Bob actually voted against these shows and against the termination of the Commission, but he wisely brings us a timely program and is first out of the gate!

Here’s Bob’s announcement:

My show on CityCable 11 where I discuss with State Senator Michele Reagan and Scottsdale Unified School District Interim Superintendent Dr. Davis Peterson how redistricting will affect Scottsdale is now online.  It will also air on CityCable 11 Sundays at 2, 6 & 9 p.m. and Wednesdays at 2, 6 & 9 p.m. The last airing will be on November 16th at 9 p.m.

  1. First of all I want to say wonderful blog! I had a quick question that I’d like to ask if you don’t mind. I was interested to know how you center yourself and clear your thoughts before writing. I’ve had a difficult time clearing my thoughts in getting my thoughts out. I do take pleasure in writing but it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes are usually lost simply just trying to figure out how to begin. Any suggestions or tips? Cheers!

    1. Thank you, Brenda!

I am rarely at a loss for words, so I rarely have the problem of needing to clear my mind…quite the opposite!

Would be happy to talk to you more at any time. I have virtually no training in writing, journalism, etc. My education was in engineering (aerospace) but I am sure we could have fun trading ideas!
